Cube Cross Hybrid Pro 400 is a hybrid style e-bike, designed for riders of all abilities who are looking to commute long distance or explore further afield on the weekends. The hybrid style means you are able to explore off the beaten track, and are not limited to riding on only sealed surfaces.

The Hybrid Pro 400 is equipped with the outstanding Bosch Performance CX pedal assist system. This is what is known as a mid-drive system, this style of pedal assist provides the most natural feeling power delivery and integrates organically into the design of the bike. The Performance CX model gives the rider up to 75nm of torque and 250w of continuous power and is linked to a Bosch 400wh battery.

*Please note, while video mentions Cube Cross Hybrid Pro 500, only 400 model available in Australia.

The bike is finished with a Shimano Deore drivetrain, this means you get smooth and accurate shifting and a wide range of gears to help you through all kinds of terrain. Having this level drivetrain also means the bike is better equipped to handle the additional power of the pedal assist system, giving longer life of components compared to cheaper items used on some other bikes.

The Shimano hydraulic disc brakes give outstanding levels of power and control, making for a safe and enjoyable ride in all weather conditions. The Cube Cross Hybrid Pro 400 is a hybrid style e-bike, and the perfect bike for the amateur or returning rider to get out and commute or explore.

Sometimes you just want a bike that'll do it all, with no fuss. That's what we had in mind when we built the Cross Hybrid Pro. It's a versatile hybrid that's confidence-inspiring to ride in the urban jungle - and simply inspiring in the open countryside. Use it for work, for pleasure, for family, for fun. The high quality, state-of-the-art frame represents the ultimate in riding safety, having passed all our stringent in-house tests. Equipped with Shimano's wide-ranging and smooth-shifting 10 speed gears, a suspension fork for added comfort and powerful hydraulic disc brakes for safe stopping in any weather, it's quite possibly the ultimate two-wheeled, everyday companion.

There are no shortcuts in the Cross Hybrid Pro's frame, which incorporates everything we've learnt from building e-tour and e-mtb bikes. The gravity cast housing for motor and battery is immensely stiff and strong as well as being surprisingly light. Just as important, it positions the powerful Bosch battery and drive unit in exactly the right position for the best possible handling and performance - and you can even charge the battery without removing it from the bike, should you wish to do so. Whether you opt for the trapeze or classic men's frame option, you'll have the benefit of internal cable routing for clean gear shifts and greatly reduced maintenance. There are even built in rack and kickstand mounts for added versatility. And, of course, the low weight and confidence-inspiring handling are exactly what you'd expect from CUBE.

Maestro House Mini Coffee Scale
I have begun to drink tea, pu’erh tea to be specific. I have several varieties and I have had a problem with getting consistent results. The varieties can be very different in size depending on when the leaves are harvested (leaves harvested in spring are much smaller). So the easiest way to get consistent results is by weight. This scale is very easy to use with a ceramic tea scoop, set the tea scoop on the scale, zero it out and add tea leaves. This has made my results much better, without the wild swings in strength I had been getting before trying to eyeball even measures. This scale gives me accurate measurements to one tenth of a gram.

Mostly great, except one little annoyance
Color: Black&Silver, Color: Black&Silver
Pros- lightweight, small, very accurate, easy to clean, timer included. Cons- I use this to brew espresso on my Breville Touch and to get an accurate reading, you have to place something flat (structured) under the scale. Otherwise the reading just jumps all over the place. I know lot of espresso machines have the same base, so this might be an issue for some! This is my reason for 4/5 stars. It’s an easy fix, it’s just kind of annoying. Value for the price seems to be on point. It’s easy to clean. It has a timer as well as scale (nice for espresso). Buttons work the first time you push them. That’s it that’s all

Nice Matcha
Flavor Name: Ceremony Matcha-1.06oz
The flavor of this is very smooth and not bitter like some other matchas I’ve tried in the past. It’s very easy to incorporate into water and tastes amazing with soy milk and strawberry syrup. I’d say this is very fresh tasting and smelling. I did have consistent energy throughout the day with no crash which is a plus. Only warning is be very careful because the tin and product are very light I accidentally knocked it over the first day I had it and half the matcha fell onto the floor and was wasted. I’ve now learned to be very slow around it so I don’t drop it again.

REVIEW FROM A NON-BEGINNER HERE
Flavor Name: Ceremony Matcha-1.06oz, Flavor Name: Ceremony Matcha-1.06oz
I’ve been drinking matcha for years and I’m very particular with the quality and how I make it. I’ve tried many matchas, so I hope my review helps you. Would I buy again? - Yes. This matcha is great for someone who likes quality matcha without spending too much money. I would drink this as my daily matcha. - I can taste the difference between this matcha and a more expensive one, but I’d say this (price point aside) is about 90% in quality, taste, and experience if the expensive ones are 100%. Price: $12.59 after tax for 30g (bought on sale) Packaging: - Tin foil seal with pull tab, matcha loose in container, no bag inside of container - Comes with a rubber piece to keep matcha sealed after opening, very nice - Comes with a small metal spoon? - Top and bottom pieces separate from main container but don’t seem to have a function (see picture) Matcha: - In comparison to other high end matchas, this seems ever so slightly more coarse ground but doesn’t seem to have an effect on experience (no grainy feel) - the flavor has slightly less “matcha flavor” but for the price point, it exceeds my expectations, may just have to increase the ratio of matcha - Color: vibrant green, not dull oxidized color like some low end matchas - Mouth feel: Nice buttery and smooth - Caffeine: I am unfortunately not sensitive to caffeine so I can’t speak on the topic How I make my matcha lattes (so you can check my credentials or learn how to make as a beginner getting into matcha): 1. Heat water to 175°F/80°C, soak bamboo whisk for 5 minutes before using to soften the bristles 2. Two scoops of matcha (≈2g) with bamboo scoop (not provided with this product) into matcha bowl through a sieve (if you have one) 3. Slowly pour water into bowl, about 2oz/60ml 4. Use the whisk to gently swirl the matcha so that there is no dry powder left 5. Whisk vigorously in a “W” shape for 20 seconds (careful not to press the whisk into the bottom of bowl, it’s fragile) 6. Bring the whisk to the surface of the matcha and gently whisk in a “W” shape until the bubbles are broken up into smaller ones, aka “microfoam”, about 10 seconds 7. Finish up by swirling the matcha with the whisk in a gentle circle shape, leaving a small peak of foam in the middle as you pull the whisk from the surface. 8. (Optional) Combine with ice, milk (I use half and half, about 8oz), and sweetener to make a latte (add the sweetener after it’s in the glass so that you don’t expose sugar to the whisk) 9. Rinse matcha whisk and bowl with hot water, place whisk carefully back on holder, making sure not to snag any bristles For beginners: - Don’t use boiling water, it will burn the matcha and cause the flavor to suffer - BE SO GENTLE WITH THE WHISK PLEASE, and make sure you soak it before hand or it will be more prone to breakage - Get a whisk holder. The whisk will be prone to mold if stored upside down (bristles up) - When soaking the whisk, there should be a faint line about 1 cm down from the string binding, that’s where the water line should be. Don’t submerge the binding area or it will be more brittle and prone to mold. - A sieve is a worthwhile investment for a smooth matcha experience - All matchas naturally oxidize, so use within 1-3 months for a good experience, it’s not a feature of bad quality matcha, it’s just how all matcha is - Color matters. If it’s dull, that means it is old or bad quality, bright vibrant green is what you’re looking for - It’s normal for matcha to “settle” on the bottom of the glass after sitting for a while, just give it a swirl to remix it I wish you all luck on your matcha journey! If you’re a beginner, there’s a lot to learn, but it’s so worth it!
